Shrimp Croque Monsieur

INGREDIENTS

– 30g of butter
– 30g of flour
– 250g of milk
– 1 Pinch of ground nutmeg
– 4 Thick slices of white square bread
– 400g Cooked shrimps
– 100g of grated comté cheese
– Chopped chives
– 1 lemon

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1 – Melt the butter and add the flour until you get a roux.
Step 2 – Add the milk and bring to a boil while whisking for 5 minutes.
Step 3 – Remove from heat, add nutmeg, adjust seasoning and set aside.
Step 4 – Place bread slices on an ovenproof plate and spread with béchamel sauce
Step 5 – Spread shrimp, comté cheese and béchamel sauce on top and put a slice of bread on top
Step 6 –– Bake for 6 minutes, sprinkle with chives and drizzle with lemon juice
