Preparation:
Step 1: Cook the whole sweet potatoes with their skin in boiling water without cutting them
Step 2: Let them cool, then peel and mash
Step 3: Add the flour to the potatoes little by little while kneading, until you obtain a homogeneous and flexible dough.
Coconut Filling:
Step 4: Put the sugar, water, cardamom, and coconut in a saucepan and stir cook, until the coconut has absorbed the water (the filling should not be liquid).
Realization of the cakes
Step 5: Flour your work surface and flatten the dough with a rolling pin to a thickness of about 3 mm.
Step 7: Cut out circles with a cookie cutter and moisten the dough circles
Step 8: Place a spoonful of filling in the center of the dough circle, and fold the circle on itself to obtain a half-circle turnover
Step 9: Pinch the edges together and mark them with a fork
Step 10: Fry the cakes in hot oil until golden brown
