INGREDIENTS

– 250g milk

– 55g unsalted butter

– 210g all-purpose flour

– 20g sugar

– 1 egg 

– 2.5g yeast

– 2.5g salt

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Mix the milk and butter and set aside.

Step 2: In a separate container, sift the flour and mix with the sugar, baking powder and salt. 

Step 3: Add the egg and whisk to combine.

Step 4: Add the milk mixture gradually.

Step 5: Leave to stand for 6 hours in the fridge.

Step 6: Preheat the waffle iron and pour in enough batter.

Step 7: Cook for 3 to 5 minutes or until waffles are golden brown. 

The Chef’s special touch:
For a successful brunch, you can use waffles instead of bread and add avocado or a soft-boiled egg.
