Detox is known to come with some challenges however there are simpler ways of doing it without having to ingest weird ingredients or unappealing scary food or drinks. Simple tasty recipes, smoothies to go and eliminating some unhealthy habits can easily be fitted in your daily routine for better results. Remember it is possible to detox without deprivation. Your detox plan could last for 3 days or longer; it depends on the routine you have opted for. We will be giving you some tips on how to successfully cleanse.

Planning & Preparation

Time can be very limited to many of us which is why a proper planning is required. Here are some tips for planning your detox diet:

1. Plan ahead for the week

Make the most of your weekend by planning and cooking ahead for the coming week. Make a list of all the clean foods you would like to include in your diet. It does not have to be scary, later in the article  we have shared with you a week’s planning which you could follow or fine tune based on your preferences. If you plan accordingly, you have enough time to commit to your detox plan by always having healthy food to snack on or detox meals to take to work. Cutting down on convenient foods will just become so much easier.

2. Order Online

Online shopping is  now very accessible; you can easily shop for all your ingredients with Go Delivery Mauritius and have them delivered to you by Friday so you can plan and cook during the weekend. By doing your grocery shopping online on godelivery.mu, you will definitely save a lot of time which you will use to plan and prep ahead your meals.

3. Prepare your meal in advance

You can choose to cook your meals on the day but should you be short of time, it is very convenient to prepare your ingredients ahead of time. You can keep 3 days worth of food in your fridge and freeze the rest. Here are some of the ingredients / foods you can prep in advance:

  1. Hummus: Great to be used as a spread or a dip for your raw veggies, hummus can be prepared ahead and refrigerated.
  2. Buy your whole meal bread in advance. Remember to say no to simple carbs!
  3. Wash and pack your salads and prepare the dressing in advance. Mix them before serving.
  4. Tasty Chickpea Curry
  5. Marinate your chicken the night before.
  6. Bake  your gluten free muffins as substitute to high-carb ones.

This is list non-exhaustive. Keep up with our blog posts for detox recipes and more about healthy diets.

As promised, a weekly detox plan to help you begin your cleansing journey.
